To be a Good HR you need certain skill sets. Understand your employee's mindset to deal with them, manage and track certain records and so on. other than that you will be taking interviews of freshers as well as experienced people. Asking correct questions and judging if a person is capable of doing a particular role is part of the job. As per my experience, if you want to grow in the HR field, then you need to understand the current market scenario. After that, you can understand human behaviour or human psychology. Suppose if you are working in the HR, Talent Acquisition field; so you need to understand the market behaviour for a particular skill, hiring instead directly talking to an associate's for a job.
Please note that in the HR field nobody perfect they have specialized in some certain skills.
