Hi, I need urgent help. I have 4.5 years of experience in the HR industry. I am currently working with a private company with 30 employees. I have a generalist profile here, so I handle overall HR responsibilities within the company.

Today, the director of my company called me and the accountant of the company and informed me that from now onwards, our accountant will handle all payroll processes, and I am to focus on recruitment. (He wants me to work as a recruiter only.)

I am not happy with this sudden surprise that came towards me today as I absolutely love this generalist profile in which I have been working for the last 4 years, and I don't want to work as a core recruiter. Can anyone please help me with what I can do?

Hi,

As per the terms of employment, the employer has the right to revise/change KRA of employees from time to time based on organizational need and requirements. Change is inevitable. Please perceive the change in responsibility positively and try to emerge in the recruitment area.

However, if you are not totally convinced with your revised role, please look for a desired role with other companies, submit your resignation, serve the proper notice period, and then get relieved.
