If any employee leaves the company without giving resignation then what are the necessary steps an hr should take?

Send him letters asking him to join back, cautioning him that his absence would be considered as abandonment of job and then cautioning him that since he has not responded to the previous two letters his services would be terminated if not turned up within the nest 3 or 4 days and then send a termination letter quoting all the three letters and ask him to settle the dues coming in person.
