In my company, even though I am designated as the Assistant HR Manager, the Operations Manager, who has been working for 15 years, signs all relieving and offer documents. Moreover, he unofficially claims to be the HR Manager. Our CEO and CTO are based in the US office, and I have completed a year in this company.
Seeking Advice on Signing Authority
Kindly advise me if I have the right to sign as an authorized signatory on relieving and offer documents for employees. The Operations Manager seems to want control over everything, including HR. Please advise me on this.

Dear Vindhya,
Only the directors on the board are authorized to sign employment-related letters unless they delegate these responsibilities to someone else via a board resolution or a circular. Hence, unless the directors authorize you, you should not sign employment letters.
