I am Robert here, Sir. As I mentioned earlier, I left my previous company without serving the notice period and immediately joined another company. Now, my new company is asking for my previous company's PF number. What should I do? Should I ask them to create a new PF account, or will they create a new PF account for me? In case they create a new PF number, will it affect my previous company's UAN Number?
KYC and UAN Issues
Moreover, when I logged into my previous company's UAN number, only my Aadhar was linked and verified. It is showing that to seed my bank account number and PAN number, it says, "KYC for bank is already pending for approval with the established company." What does this mean, and what is the solution for this?
PF Transfer and Account Linking
Recently, I tried to transfer my PF online, but it showed that the bank account number, IFSC code, and PAN card are not linked. When I attempted to link my account number and IFSC code by logging in with my UAN number, it indicated that KYC and documents need to be approved by my employer (my previous company) and not by my current company. Will my current company be able to link my account number and IFSC code with my UAN? I believe my ex-employer will link my account number, as it requires the digital signature of the previous employer.

Managing UAN and KYC for New Employment
Since the telephone number and Aadhaar are linked to the UAN, creating another UAN is not advisable. It's better to use the same UAN for your current organization. You can link your bank account and other KYCs through your present employer as well. What you need to do is manage the KYC again with the bank account, Aadhaar, and any pending approvals, and your present employer will approve it.
Handling Non-Service of Notice Period
Regarding non-service of the notice period, the only action the previous company can take is to postpone the date of exit. You can transfer the balance from the old PF to the new PF only if the previous employer has entered the date of exit. Many companies are following this practice. However, the EPF Organization has introduced a directive stating that the employer is responsible for marking the date of exit as soon as the employee leaves the establishment. If this is not done, the employer will have to contribute to the PF and administrative charges as if the employee is still in service. Consequently, employers are now pressured to mark the date of exit immediately after the employee's departure, regardless of any handing over or relieving formalities by the resigned employee.
