Even I want to know, why you guys are waiting for her till date and after 5-10 ...of what, 5-10 days or 5-10 weeks, please clarify. My suggestion is, please mention in your terms of employment that an employee who is absent from work for more than 5/6 consecutive days without notifying their manager or HR, will be considered as voluntarily terminated from their employment. Excessive absences, tardiness, or instances of leaving early are grounds for discipline up to, and including, termination.
Many times it happen with Employees specially freshers that they join the company and left within 1 or 2 weeks without notification. so, we also have to move on as the employee moves on.
But would like to know on which position she was working and have to disclosed any confidential information with her which is bothering to your organisation till date.
