A friend of mine has been terminated from a company due to a long absence. The reason was that his father was very sick. He received two warning letters to report to work, followed by a termination letter. He requested his PF and an experience letter, but both were denied. After lengthy conversations, he insisted on at least processing his PF, which was also denied. He then mentioned legal action, after which he received his PF alone. Now, is there any possibility of obtaining an experience letter?

PF cannot be denied. Even if the employer is not ready to process his PF papers, the claim can be settled directly with the PF department. I am sure the person will get a job, and the PF can be transferred instead of being withdrawn. I do hope he has a UAN and PF account number. He will have to politely request his experience letter.
