We are running a partnership firm based in Kerala and a few months back reached a count of 20 employees. We are planning for EPF registration. We wanted to know whether we have to pay dues for those months when we reached 20 or only have to remit from the month we register. Also, in the near future, we are planning to convert the firm to a private limited company, so will there be any issues in changing company details?
We have a few more doubts regarding EPF and would like to know if there is anyone out there whom we can contact for further guidance.

EPF Applicability and Registration Process
Now, EPF is applicable for any establishment employing 10 or more employees. The entire EPF system now operates online, with limited or no use of paper. You may seek advice from your Provident Fund Commissioner, who will be eager to assist you and your employees as this is an employee welfare scheme.
To proceed, you will need to gather the necessary documents for your partnership firm, bank details, and employees' information, including their salaries and deductions. If you have not yet deducted EPF amounts from your employees and have them with you, you can apply for coverage from the current date.
I hope this clarifies any doubts you may have. Feel free to contact me at [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons] for any further assistance.
Thank you.
