Hi, I want to know, after giving my resignation at Wipro, until when can I retract my resignation? I have received a new job offer, but the new company requires me to join within 50 days. Wipro's notice period is 60 days, and the new company is unwilling to extend the joining date. Initially, I had informed them that I could join within 50 days, as they were not willing to accommodate a 60-day notice period. I accepted the offer without mentioning the full 60 days of notice that I am required to serve at my current job. Now, I have resigned and am awaiting the right time to discuss extending my joining date with the new company.

Please provide your suggestions on how to handle this situation effectively. Thank you.

In continuation of the above, in view of the apex court decision in Srikantha SM v Bharat Earth Movers Ltd decided on 7.10.2005, the resignation can be withdrawn until the resignation is accepted by the employer and the employee is relieved.
