Dear Fellow Members, I am trying to identify which mode of delivery one should opt for as an HR or Learning and Development manager to train the employees on certain skill sets. For example, Soft Skills.
Classroom Methodology
- For a limited number of participants in company premises and using office hours.
Online Mode
- With no limit on numbers and giving them access anytime, anywhere without disturbing the official productivity.

In my personal opinion, classroom methodology will help participants focus on what is being taught in the classroom. The advantage of the classroom mode is that the trainer will have a grip on the attention span of the participants and can quickly change the atmosphere. Online mode is not as effective with this kind of agility, and trainers, if available, can't gauge the distractions. Moreover, even when videos are used, participants can sometimes become passive and hence could miss out on key learnings.
I understand your concern about the productivity of the employees. However, I suggest that you consider classroom trainings for the best results.
Thank you.
