Hello Seniors, Please suggest the latest and most economic method of seeking job applicant in small and developing city like Jabalpur.

Dear Deepti,
Hiring techniques varies from profile to profile and industry to industry.eg if u r hiring for Senior profile then you can use Linkedin or some other professional sites or tab the employees of competitor and by creating links you can get good references. But if you are hiring for ground level openings then you also have to come on ground level.eg.campus hiring, free job posting site or employee referral.
It seems like you have to hire a big team.So start posting jobs on indeed,Olx,quikr, careesma and lots of other sites are here..contact free consultants who charge from candidates end.take some print outs of latest openings and pay some extra bucks to your office boy and ask him to paste it on relevant places like colleges and computer institutes..But make sure he does it..Exams are geeting over so start contacting local colleges and ask for candidates data who r looking for job.
There are lots of ways of Recruitment..See what suits you the most.
Good Luck !!!!

Hello Lavika,
Actually I wanna hire content writers with excellent command over English and good communication skills. Ours is a client based IT company and we regularly get project from our client based in various countries of the world, so for this we regularly need candidates.

hey..

Thanks for your response..See u can hire freelancer Content writers also from outer locations. If u r looking for full time writer you can do one thing..You can hire a very experienced content writer at bit higher package and then u can give him a training profile.Like in these months exams get over and school college students are free..You can start a on job training for these students.Make interviews for some candidates who are studying Functional english or elective english..Conduct a grammar test and those who do well hire them as a trainee.Pay 1000-2000 as stipend. They will take training as well as write some contents for you for some easier sites and products. This will be beneficial for you in 2 scenarios..First they will work for you on a very nominal cost thus u can justify the point of costly content writer whom you hired for training secondly you will prepare a back up for your own as these trainees will serve you in future.

Secondly there is another option there might be some developers and designers will be working in your company..Ask them to enhance their writing and start contributing in content writing also in their spare time.Secretly arrange a writing competition as an employee engagement activity..those who wrote well call them for a meeting and ask whether they want to work on dual profile. Not only developers people working on other profiles can also work as Content writers if they have skills..When I was working in an IT company few years ago then our Front office executive was writing contents for my company and company was paying extra buck for this..So smart work can eradicate this issue very soon.

All the Best !!!!

Hi Lavika,
I really appreciate ur ideas, we have already worked that, the designers and developers are fully occupied with their work on to that they are not very good with content writing. We already have training staff with high salary but require trainees, actually the location of our company is also an issue which is bit outward from the main city. We hire only full time content writers. As we are working with clients we don't opt for any student pursuing any courses. I tried to contact a few colleges but they already have their placement cells and not interested for our proposal.

You query sounds more like a request for a recipe- like easy, quick and economical way of making noodles!
I hate to break it to you that recruitment process is not any of those things. It is difficult, time consuming and mentally grueling.
Answer to your query cannot be given unless you specify more details. What sort of setup you work for? Which industry? Employee strength? Strength of HR dept? What sort of hiring you do?

Aditya Ji,
I know that recruitment process is difficult, time consuming and mentally grueling process that's why I post this thread to get suggestions from respected seniors. If you want to get more information about my query to provide your valuable suggestion then you may ask for that in a different way but not by criticizing my query. I am new to this profile and facing troubles and so just seeking suggestion.

Hello Deepti,

The task of getting content writers is going to be tough, that's because of two reasons. First, honest and good writers are hard to come by. I have conducted English training in one of JBP colleges and it was quite an experience, lets even not get there. Even if you want to get freelancers, I doubt if they would be willing to work, considering what companies can offer in Jbp. As far as my knowledge goes, Jabalpur has only two companies that work in SEO field and require content writers, V India and SAG. NONE pay well especially for freelance writing. V India is family controlled with bureaucratic structure and SAG is way too small, I wonder if its even a registered Pvt Ltd company. Both have had major problem with retaining good talent. And both have lost good writers recently. None of them are willing to offer appropriate market rates for writing services. However, both have in the past have managed to recruit good writers by changing their hiring platforms. I can give you a reference in Nagpur and you can get a freelancer on contract.

And as Lavika suggested, organizing a writing contest in say an MBA or a Mass Comm college can get you some good talent. The format has to be created smartly and in such a way that you can filter out and get some really good entries. i have seen it work successfully in another small SEO firm owned by my friend here.

Dear Dipti, i find it ironic that you tell me to write properly when your own query is half-baked and incomplete.
Nevertheless, I take no offence. In order to provide a robust feedback, one needs complete information (which is missing in your post); hence the feedback given itself is based on a wrong premise. Anyway hope you realise that and communicate clearly in the future.

Hello,
Naukri.com is a good place for indian enterprises and indian job seekers. Moreover it is quite economically priced and we have been using it quite frequently for our company E Com Street Infoservices(India) Pvt. Ltd. located in Noida, UP. We get quite good response immdeiately from the job seekers. Previouly we used to fix up some HR consultants who charge quite handsome amount and still the response was not so appreciable.. So why don't you try it once for your location too?
