Hi, my brother was working with a BPO organization four years ago, but he left the job because he thought it was not the right fit for him. He did reach out to HR about the same, but HR did not want him to leave the job. My brother was fed up with working at night as he was also struggling with his health. Eventually, he went through mental trauma and left his job without completing the service period. He was concerned that absconding might be raised against him. Now, it has been three years since all that happened, and he does not have his experience letter. He faces difficulties in searching for new jobs. Is there any way he can obtain his experience letter? Please let me know.

If your brother has completed the exit formalities (even though not serving the notice period) of that organization, then he can get the certificate from HR.
In the other case, if the organization has reported him as absconding and terminated the service, then the experience certificate or relieving letter will not be issued. It's a general practice not to issue experience certificates for absconding or service of less than 3 months, etc.
In the future, when he gets a job and reference checks are conducted, if the organization reports him as absconding and terminated from service, it will be a negative mark for him.
