HI

The simple law is You cant do it all alone. You need the senior management support in this. Let's go one by one.

1. Uniform : The management has to made it mandatory and you to strictly follow it. If a person is not wearing uniform, you have to stop him/her at the gate and question for not wearing it. Secondly, all member from senior management if applicable wears the uniform, automatically people down the line will follow the rules.

2.Shortleave / Leave: You can introduce a follow up system where you have to meet all the employees who were absent on the previous day. Which will create a good rapport and better understanding about the employee and you can reduce the no of leave days.

3. Late coming: Here also you can prepare a policy and circulate to all and make yourself available before the specified and stand near the gate of swiping machine and ask the reason for late cming. If you do it for a week, am sure 80% of late coming could be avoided. We have done this and it was very effective.

Dear D.srihari Sir,
we already have Biomertic attendance machine.. There are some difficulties as we have different shift and flexible working hour for senior staff .
I wish to have insight about how to implement such rules as i thought that mine were not too practical to be implemented..

hi seema,
with due repect to all contibuting members, there suggestions are good for office or factory but will not be of any use to hospital
doctors simply doesnot like to bound themselves to any such hard rules, bec the profession is as such, before considering late coming rules just understand how much working hrs they are putting to the hospital and the kind of support they are giving in any emergency situations
i think u must make some flexi working options in consultation with all the employees make a draft and send it to all for any suggestions, make a cmon consesus and let employees themselves form a professional env.
Allignment will be strategy for these work in these kind of situations
thnks

Hi
Biometric System would help you.. but go for Finger punching System.
If you go with Showcard, proxy attendance is possible.
Take your management in confidence with you and keep the approvals from the management documented.
You can take a training session and inform the employees regarding the changes in the Management with respect to Uniform , leave, short leave, late coming and for other day today operations..
Dont implement all the policy in one stroke. Discuss with management, HOD and other Key people and then implement policies one-by-one.
You can get all the policy in Citehr.com. If you need any help, you can post a message.
Happy Working !!
