Dear all,
I am working for an MNC in the operations department. We are given 5 optional offs out of all to opt. On the festival days, even if we opt for leave, that is being declined, saying it is a business as usual day. Even we are made to work on National holidays, saying it is a business as usual day. It has been mandatory to stretch for overtime for at least 2 hours every day. The job is necessary for me, but I'm working for my family. I'm kind of being away from my family even though I'm with them due to these policies.
If we take any leaves, paid/annual leaves, they are considered as negatives, and we see the attendance being marked as RED/Not meeting. Are there any Indian labor policies that come in handy to talk to HR? How to deal with this situation? How to deal with mandatory overtime? How that can be answered?
I seek your guidance in this as I want to rebuild my familial relationships and to repair the wrecked policies of leaves here.

Dear Felishag,
Please confirm your location correctly. You are inquiring about Indian Labour Policies, and in your ID, the location is mentioned as Ireland. You state that your company is an MNC, so they might have registered your company under the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act of the Indian state where it is located. Hence, you can report the matter to the Labor Office of your district so that they will come and verify the correctness of the attendance registers, salary registers, and other relevant documents. If they find your complaint is correct, they will surely take necessary action on your application, and all your staff will get relief on Holiday/Leave Policy.
Thank you.
