Management Training Programme (MTP) differs from one industry to another and one company to another. Therefore, what others do may not be suitable to you.
In view of this, you may share your own MTP provided it does not violate confidentiality conditions of your company. Seniors like me will contribute in improvement process.
Secondly, you need to share information like what is the qualification of management trainees is. Are they MBAs? If yes, then from what discipline? Are they from premium B-schools? What are they expected to do on completion of their MTP? Which geographical area do they belong to? What was their selection process?
Information on these questions also is important.
After induction, MTs generally work in each department for a quarter. Every quarter training department conducts their test and their departments are rotated. This goes on for about one and half years or two years. This way, they get to understand how every single department of the company works. On completion of MTP, they generally have 360 degree view of the company. Obviously they are better to work in any department. Training department maintains separate file for every single MT. All MTs report of Training Manager. On completion of MTP, best MT of the batch award may be given.
