This is very informative and I wish to add the following while formulating HR policies.
Some organizations consider the following as optional / additional:
1.0 Exposure to packages like Peoplesoft.
2.0 Safety, Environment,Health and Community aspects
3.0 Quality Systems like SA 8000, OHSAS etc.
As pointed out previously several additions keep coming once you start.
