This query is related to ESI applicability.
Our company is operating in all around the india. Now we decide to centralize the payroll.
Just i want know wheather we can use our ESI registration code, which is provided by Karnataka to all employees, who are working on other state also.
Pls advise.

Dear Asif,
if employees work in Bangalore you will pay amount in Bangalore Sub code.- and if employees work Delhi you need to pay in Delhi sub code.
i means you have take sub code for all state for their regional ESIC office.

Thanks for your valuable guidance. It help me a lot.
Now i have cleared about this. Once getting sub codes, we will pay the contributions through online for all the states from Bangalore itself to their respectives sub codes.
If, in karnataka we have four units, wheather we need to take one ESI code for the state or we need to take for individual factories.
I hope, since we are doing centralized payroll, one ESI code is enough for one state.
Please correct, if i am wrong.

Hi, i have joined in a MNC in hyderabad, after seeing the above clarification, i got one doubt that if employees are working difference places( Sales man). ours is a new co. and shortly they may introduce ESI in my co. my doubt is staff are working different places and each place and we have to take sub code separate for each employee, even though salary is p[aid in one palce? can anybody help in this regard, thanks

For this.......ESIC, Newdelhi has given a circular.......due to the introduction of smart cards getting the scope of medical benefit under ESI is widened........So even there is no office at different places, on the address of the staff, they can generate a subcode no. and follow the procedure as i explained above.....
This is will be more helpful especially the field staff in the pharmaceutical and other sectors........

Your issue is
X - Head Office located in Delhi - 100 employees - make ESIC payment in Delhi
Out of 100, 10 works in Calcuta
30 in Gujarat
Ask your Calcutta and Gujarat local branch to visit ESIC Local office in the respective state, produce the paid challan of Delhi and avail the treatment where ever you want in Delhi. Now ESIC is issuing smart (Electronic) card, the employee can use any Dispensary in India if that operates.

Repres of pharma co people works in different towns as head quater and prequently they change the jobs & in this case how to take sub code ?
whether to take code for town or on name of the person?
