I work in Mumbai, and my husband works in Bangalore. He is telling me that if I do not get a transfer, then I should resign from my job. I am not in a good position to resign from my job for this reason. Please help me write a sample request for a transfer letter. It is very urgent. Kindly assist me.

If your company has a unit or a branch in Bangalore, they can accommodate you there. In the public sector, it will be the endeavor of the management to post working spouses as far as possible at the same place. You can cite reasons like how it is disturbing your family life and exerting pressure on finances of the family, having been compelled to maintain two establishments, that too in two costly cities, and the need for security for you. You also want to continue with the present employer. Taking all this into consideration, your request for transfer may be considered.

Dear friend,

When you ask for help in a public forum, courtesy demands disclosure of your name. Secondly, you could have checked this forum before raising this query. Anyway, you can [click here](https://www.citehr.com/253417-draft-letter-transfer.html#post1136711) to read my reply to a similar post that was posted earlier.
