I am planning to shift to another state for my job purposes. I don't have any job offers or interview letters at the moment. For this reason, I need to take leave for about 10 days. How can I ask my boss for the leave and what reason should I mention for this? Should I request leave or should I resign from the job at this moment?

If you have a good relationship with your boss, tell him the truth or provide other reasons to request the vacation. At the same time, avoid sharing too many details with your boss at this point. If you have enough leave balance to take the time off, that is a plus point for you. However, do not resign from your current job unless you have another offer in hand.

I wish you all the best in your job trials.

Raam
