Hi,
I am preparing my thesis on the new performance appraisal system in the public service and whether it can be seen as a tool of development but I am stuck. I have to prepare a questionnaire and I am not sure what questions to ask. This research is being done in the Caribbean and there is a gap of information relating to the Caribbean. My research is grounded in theory from Europe and the USA.
Any assistance in the way forward with this questionnaire will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

refer to 'catalytic coaching the end of the performance review' by garold l markle for a different view/approach. this will assist with formulating various questions
Hi bajan_n_peachy
In order to determine if the new performance appraisal instrument is likely to be effective in the public service, wouldn't you have to first assess the type of culture that exist and whether this culture would support the new PA system?

performance management is a set of activities that ensure goals are met in an effective manner. performance appraisal is a method by which an employee's performance is documented and evaluated. it is also known as performance reviews. To make this an easier process for HR, it is always best to invest in employee performance management software.
