Hi,
I would like to work in the Payroll department, so I want to learn Indian Payroll in depth. Can anyone tell me what I should do to get information on Indian Payroll or any website, any document I should refer to? Also, is there any course on Indian Payroll from any University?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Chaitanyabal,
To better understand payroll, you should work in an organization that deals with it. Payroll is a system that generates the salaries or wages of employees. It is a day-based system. In the Indian payroll system, there are various types of earnings and, on the other side, various types of deductions.

Dear Chaitanya,
It is very difficult to explain the payroll process here. If you have any difficulty, it can be explained. However, detailing the entire payroll process here is not possible.
I can simply say that payroll refers to the payments made to employees. In this process, there are two sides: the earning side and the deduction side. On the earning side, all earnings and allowances are included, while on the deduction side, all deductions such as statutory or non-statutory deductions are accounted for. The balance amount is then paid to the employee either in cash or through the bank.
