Hi all,
I am a student and I am working on a Human Resource Project currently. Unfortunately, I have some doubts and don't really have clear directions on the questions provided to me.
Here it goes: Research and report on the HR initiatives that organizations in China and India are challenged with. Relate to the following HR topics: recruitment & selection, training, performance appraisal, career development, job evaluation, compensation, and reward systems.
From what I understand, I need to investigate the HR topics. However, my course is a CRASH COURSE, and my lectures are still in the process of delivering the information to us. Nevertheless, my project deadline is approaching, so I would like to ask if anyone could provide some opinions on the question mentioned above? Thanks!

Hi,
Well, not as easy as you make it sound, pal. Start by listing out the HR practices in China and India. Analyze each one from both fronts (China and India) - how they are initiated, followed, implemented, and what problems arise. Then, relate the topics mentioned by you such as recruitment, et al., from a Chinese viewpoint with an Indian viewpoint. Compare them with each other - recruitment done in Chinese orgs and recruitment in Indian orgs. In the same way, address the rest of the aspects. It's a lengthy project for a crash course though! Chow and best of luck.

I wonder why students, like you, leave it till late to seek help. May I know where you are doing the course?
As you have posted the query on citehr, I am sure you know how to search for information using search engines such as Google. If you search, like I did, you will find some articles or their abstracts. For full articles, you may have to pay. However, if you had the luxury of plenty of time to complete, you could write to the authors. They usually oblige.
Here are two references for Chinese practices. You will have to narrow the field to some industrial sector, as pointed out by other respondents.
