i am presently working in a local company as HR executive. but since last few months i am feeling like i am not learning much here as my senior is holding all the control and i m performing just as a support to him, his assistant. and also my salary is not at all competitive as compared to my education. i started to find out jobs. but at present senario its difficult to get new opennings. i hv already given two interviews but i am not selected. i became very upset after that. now i am not finding any challenge to my work nor i can switch. and thats hampering the quality of my daily office work.
can u guys please suggest how can i get a job or how to cope here or what should i do?

Hi Am also in the same line. But daily i updated myself. so what you do you can continue your present work at the same time you update all hr related activites like payroll processing, pf, esi, professional tax and TDS it will help you for your future job. This cite is very useful and you will get all these details from this site itself. May be few more is required to look some other job bcoz now the economic condition not that much good so wait for some time. there are two types of learning internal & external if you dont any chance to learn internally you can opt for external learning read hr related magazine, hr case studies, labour law issues and hr related laws recent amendment. so many thing we can learn from outside.

Thank u Balaji.
Payroll,TDS,PF and issues like final settlement of an employee is the vital part and it is to observe that how much quick and with efficacy and accuracy an HR personnel can calculate it to provide the service expected by the time. but i am sure here i will never be able to get into the process as they think this part most sensitive and so should not b handled by me though my job length is 1.5 yrs in the same org.

Dear Swarna,
This is very bad time for all of people who is new in job, as for as I am concern you should carry on with your present job and try to learn whatsoever is there. my suggestion is please do not leave the job till the time u get another offer letter from a good or a reputed company.
have patient in youself just think that you are in a collage where you will have to learn each and evrything on your own.
