Hi John,
If I am not wrong, there is a section under the Factories Act preventing employees from dual employment. However, I am sure there is a law that exists to prevent employees from engaging in dual employment. Guys, please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi John,
As Satish said, it's right, but not only in the Factory Act. It's applicable in all labor laws. In fact, most organizations mention this clause (that a particular employee will not be eligible for dual employment without correct organization permission) in their Offer Letter or Appointment Letter the moment they appoint anybody.
However, there are some legal ways to engage in dual employment in some cases.

Thanks a lot. I have found that Sec 60 of FAct puts onus on the employer, Sec 99 lays down the penalty on parents/guardians, and Sec 9 of the Delhi S&CE Act puts onus on the employee for double employment. I could not find any other act on this matter. I will keep you guys posted if I come to know. By the way, my question is not about prevention through employment contracts or standing orders. It's about the law or rule prohibiting dual employment. NJ
Hi guys, I am desperately looking for an answer here. Which law and which clause specifically prohibits dual employment? Is it true that an employee can work in two different organizations when both employers are aware, or will it still be considered dual employment? Help!!! Saskari:?:
