Dear all,
I want to know the concept of Pink Slip? What to mention on Pink Slip or its contents? It should be attatched with salary cheque or what?
In order to implement it in office , Kindly guide me on the same.

Hi Swapna,
Its an informal way of letting the employees know that their services are no more required. There is a practice earlier that the salaries will be given in Envelopes and while handing the envelopes, personal department people used to keep a pink slip in the cover which means that they have been discharged from their duties and the final settlement has been made.
Its a practice in US. In India we generally give this kind of pink slips when we find any kind of false information in the resume or fake experience or non performance.
One final word what we can say is Pink Slip is nothing but Termination of the employee from the Services with immediate effect.(which mean without notice)

well thnkxx for this kind favour to throwing light on it...well tell me..is it also used when a employee leave an organisation itself..means giving resign is mean de same thing as pink slip??

Hi,
Resigning is a different issue as resignation depends on employee,handing over pink slip is management's decision and is taken only when employee is found to be not fit for further employment
