As she was on probation period, there is all depend on the terms and conditions specified in the appointment letter issued at the timing of her joining, because so many companies have written in their appointment letter that within probation period if employee's performance and attitude will not be according to the company's decorum then he/she will be terminated without any notice period.
Now, termination given to her is in written and her extension request is in verbal then in any case she will never do any process out of the way.
