if you can then introduce sms reporting system where an employee need to send daily sms of his work report like meeting client, service call n installation if any
evry employee has cell phone so 2-3 minits is enough to send sms, so
it is really helpful to track attendence of outstation employees

Hi Pooja,
What i think before deducting their salary for the not informing the attendance is not fair on HR part. You can try following steps:
1) Give this responsibility to their Project Manager, since he is a senior employee definitely he will take it serious.
2) Send blank attendance sheet to their P.M. & ask him to send it at the end of month.
3) If you require to maintain the daily attendance then you have to send the warning mail to individual saying that they have to send the att. on daily basis ,if not received the same day will be considered as a absent for them.
Try this......
Thanks,
Amit

Hi Pooja,
You can make an excel sheet which will have In time and out time of the concerned person on regular basis they will update and send it to you.
Once you start getting that you can keep a tab on that.
And one more option would be once they complete one week at the client side they should get a copy signed from there respective reporting manager about there In & Out time for respective working days in that week
Thanks

Yours is SAP based organisation, whenever they open their system, it automatically generated their attendance details. make this kind of programme. it will solve your problem. or otherwise, do not pay for absented dates in a month, next month they themselves send their attendance details without fail.

Dear Pooja,
Why don't you assign this responsibilities to one of your executive who is already there at customer site. Let him take all the details and and get back to you over phone or by mail the attendance details of all the executives on daily / weekly basis
Instead of talking to everyone, you can take the details of all the employees from one centre point.

You may make one person responsible for attendance related issues and motivate them by saying that u r judgding or helping them enhance their management skills.
Give this oppurtunity to every team member on rotation. Now you have only one individual to interact with.
Does this make your work easy.
