Hello everyone. I have joined a company in Bangalore in March 2011. Now I have a better opportunity with one more organisation and the current employer is troublesome too.I need to wait for 6 more months atleast. Is it wise for me to leave before taking my gratuity? I am under confusion that- is basic salary which is considered for calculation of gratuity or last drawn salary. If it is last drawn salary,is it the net or take home salary?

Last drawn Basic + DA will be considered for calculation of Gratuity.
5 years service in organisation is the minimum eligible criteria
Gratuity = Last drawn wages × 15/26 × 5 (Completed years of Service)
Calculate the Hike Amount, If the hike amount is more than the gratuity that you get in 6 months period . you can change your job. unless wit for 6 months take gratuity then leave.

First of all you have not completed You want Gratu required minimum service of 5 years, under Payment of Gratuity Act. You are telling that you have joined in 2011. To you will be eligible only in 2016. For computation of Gratuity last salary drawn with Basic and DA will be taken subject to completion of 5 years. Option is yours. You want Gratuity or better opportunity.
