One of our employees was absent from the duty for 10days and his HOD wants to take termination action on the ground of continues absent 7days and more+ jan2011-dec2011 performance higher declain
the h.r. head will be recruited next month in this situation, can employer initiate discipinary action/show cause notice or employee\'s h.o.d.?

Well, in the absence of hr hod, department head can initiate by issuing unauthorised absent than then h.d. department can further on reply, issue show cause notice (by register post) periodically till 2 times giving appropriate days to notice reply....and no respond from said employee, then 3rd, final
notice to terminate.

Dear Bhardwaj,
you can send the 2 warning letters in span of 3 to 4 days in registered post by asking the employee to join the duty with 48 hours and reply to the letter.
If no reply or response from the employee
Third letter you send his termination.
