Difference between Salary & wages

Pls can u let me know what is the difference between salary and wages..

Hi,

You need to understand the difference between worker and workman under different labor laws...like Factories Act 1948, ID Act 1947, Payment of Wages Act etc. Let me know you really need it urgently as I need to brush up my MLL knowledge

To help you here is the the quick explanation:

Salary is paid to workmen - mainly white collared employees on the monthly basis.

Wages are paid to workers - mainly blue collared employees on hourly/daily/weekly or monthly basis.
