Hi,

Please advise me on changing the following appointment letter. As our company is an IT organization, we have also placed some candidates in our client company on our payroll basis. However, after a period of 6 months, the client company absorbs the candidate onto their payroll.

Dear Mr. *,

With reference to the interview and discussion we recently had with you, we are pleased to engage your services as a "Software Consultant" for our organization, (company name), on a contract basis, under the following terms and conditions:

1. CONTRACT DURATION AND FEES

The contract is for a duration of six months (extendable with mutual consent) effective from your date of joining, which should be on or before 8/05/2006. You will be paid Rs. 28,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Eight Thousand Only) per month, subject to applicable income tax deductions, as consultancy fees.

2. WORKING RULES

The main location of work will be initially at our Software Development Centre located at ADD, Mumbai. However, as mutually agreed, you shall be deputed to our client (client company name) after joining. You shall follow the work timings and calendar of the company or of the client where the company posts you. You shall work within the timings or as agreed upon from time to time.

3. CONTRACT TERMINATION

Either party may terminate the contract by giving 30 days' notice in writing or compensation in lieu thereof.

Need to make a change in the following sentence:

Instead of using "para," I need another substitute word which shows that the person is on the payroll of our company.

Please suggest another term, or if you have any other format, please provide that as well.

Please reply immediately.

Vrushali
