The Role of Human Resources Managers

Human resources managers perform key functions to help sustain business operations. They outline policies that are imperative in facilitating employer-employee relations. Their main task is to successfully motivate employees to meet a company's financial goals while still maintaining its principles.

Understanding Motivation Theories

Many theories seek to explain how motivation works in attaining the best results from workers. Maslow's theory explains that an individual is motivated according to the level of needs, and he will progress depending on how well these needs are addressed at each level. Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five-tier model of human needs, often depicted as hierarchical levels within a pyramid.
