I have resigned from my previous job 1.5 years ago after serving the organization for 2 years. Currently, I am employed with an organization where my PF is regularly being deducted. However, to date, I have not transferred the PF from my previous organization. Now, I want to withdraw my PF from the previous organization instead of transferring it to my current employer.
Can I do this? If yes, then what are the tax implications?

Hi,
Here the question is, have you filled in your PF transfer form with your present employer? If you have submitted it, it may take around 2 to 3 months if the previous employer is associated with the PF Commissioner's office, and 40 days if it's a Trust. If you have already submitted it, contact your previous organization and inquire about the status. If it's still under process, then you cannot submit the PF withdrawal form with your previous employer.

Vivek

I have not submitted the PF withdrawal form to any employer yet. I want my PF to be withdrawn as I am in need of money. I don't want it to be transferred to my present employer. Can you please tell me the procedure and tax implications?

Yes, you can withdraw your PF. There is a form that needs to be filled out by you and then signed by your previous employer. Once the form is complete and signed, you can submit it to the PF office to withdraw your funds. It takes about 2-3 months for the amount to come into your account after the submission of the form at the PF office.

Thank you, everybody, for the support. Can you also advise me about the tax implications? My previous employer is demanding a declaration stating that I am currently not employed. They mentioned that if I am employed, I must transfer my PF to the new employer. Please help.

Hi,
I filled the PF withdrawal form in May 2007 and have not yet received the money. When I inquired at the company, they said it was already submitted to the PF office.
Is there a telephone number for the Mumbai PF office where I can call and inquire about my PF? Additionally, is there a place where I can file a complaint against the company if they have not yet submitted my PF withdrawal form to the PF office?
Thank you,
Ravindra

Hi,
For withdrawal at any time, if it is not transferred (that is, your Form 13 is not processed), it is possible for any of your friends to seek help from the PF office for withdrawal benefits. Just as Neha mentioned, fill up the Form 19 & 10C and send it to the concerned previous employer, as they are required to fill up additional details in the same form. You can obtain the PF office numbers from EPFO website: [EPFO](http://www.epfindia.com).

Hi,
I filled out my PF withdrawal form in December 2009 but have not yet submitted it to the PF office. Can anyone tell me if I should submit it now, after one year, or if it is not possible to withdraw the amount now? I left the organization in July 2009. Currently, I am not working but in need of money. Please reply ASAP.
