Hi all dear members,

I have to recruit some lower staff like peons, office boys, and drivers. I am facing difficulties with this category of staff as they do not read newspapers frequently, resulting in a poor response. Although I have requested references from some drivers, the response has still been unsatisfactory. Could you please advise me on other sources that could be utilized?

Dear Shwetha,

There are some consultancies which provide lower staff, such as housekeeping, drivers, etc. You can use their services. Some of the security services provide such kind of staffing solutions.

Thanks, Satya

To effectively recruit drivers for regional AD placements in a regional newspaper, there are several strategies that can be employed:

1. Advertise for drivers through driving institutes, either by directly recruiting from these institutes with or without informing the head, or by seeking referrals from them.

2. Utilize palmlets or leaflets to advertise the job opening and distribute them through regional newspapers to reach a wider audience.

3. Reach out to potential candidates by obtaining their contact information from RT offices.

For positions such as peons or office boys, the following approaches can be taken:

1. Target vocational students or correspondence students from open universities who may be seeking employment opportunities.

2. Consider middle-class individuals who are in need of such job opportunities.

By employing these strategies, you can effectively attract suitable candidates for the advertised positions.

Hi Swetha, I read your problem. The solution is here. You may have security guards more than the requirement, so those who are not necessary for the security system, talk to them about the urgent requirement of drivers. Give them time, say about 3 months, to learn car driving, and after they learn, give them the allowance they spent on learning driving. In this way, you can have good drivers.

Alternatively, if they know how to drive, hire them. If any other information is required, email me.

Hi,

There are agencies that provide you cars on hire. Try speaking with them; you may be lucky. Of course, always get a background check done and have your documentation properly completed. You may end up spending a bit more than normal, but it may just be worth it considering the time you save.
