Hello Friends,

I am completing 4 years, 10 months, and 19 days with my current employer, i.e., before the mandatory 5-year continuous service and becoming eligible for getting Gratuity. My queries are:

1. What is my continuous service? Is it 5 years or 4 only?
2. Can gratuity be transferred to my new company so that 4 years, 10 months, and 19 days of my service can be later used for gratuity calculation?

Do let me know your views.

Thanks,
Lavanya.

If the company is closed down and your service with the company is less than 5 years, then you are not eligible to receive gratuity from the employer.

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest and send a few opinions on the following issues, which are of TOP PRIORITY? We have a group of companies (let's say 4 companies), and each company varies in their yearly production targets. We want to provide Bonus/Ex-gratia and also conduct Salary reviews (increments), intending to offer one company on the higher side and the others on the lower side based on their performance.

Kindly suggest how to proceed with this and also inform us about the consequences we may face and how to address them.

Thanks,
Raji
