Hello,
Please help.
I was employed with XYZ Company for two days from January 21 to January 23, 2019. Unfortunately, due to a family medical issue, I was unable to complete the formal exit process. Currently, my EPFO service history reflects this employment, but the exit date has not been updated. Since no contributions were made during my brief tenure, I have requested XYZ Company to update my exit, but they have not responded to emails or calls.
To clarify, I joined XYZ Company on January 21, 2019, and left on January 23, 2019. However, I received a termination letter dated January 30, 2019. By the time I joined a new company on January 28, 2019, I requested XYZ Company to update my exit date to January 24, 2019.
I noticed this issue when I received an offer from my new company, and the background verification through DigiVerifi was conducted. I now have the following questions:
(1) What should I do if the employer is not responding, and I want to mark my exit date before the start of my new job on January 28, 2019?
(2) Should I inform the BGV company, DigiVerifi, and my new employer about my leaving after two days of employment with XYZ Company?
(3) Is it possible to delete the entry in my EPFO service history, considering no contributions were made, and there is no record in my passbook?

Now the EPF department has come up with solutions for this type of case. You have to log in on the member portal, view the service history. Against your last company where the PF is not remitted, you will see "Dlink." Just press "Dlink," and you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile. Enter the OTP; then that company will be removed from your list.
