The Government of India, through its Notification dated 10.02.2016, has amended the EPF & MP Act-1952 to include Banks that do not offer any scheme of social security benefits of any nature.
The Notification was issued without any public announcement on the official website of the EPFO or in the public domain. Even the EPFO officials are unaware of the publication of such a Notification.
This information is important for all concerned.
