The biggest challenge in the IT/Software sector faced post-COVID is the issue related to WFH versus return to the workplace. Indeed, the issue is still prevalent, as evidenced by the news that Infosys is making it mandatory for employees to return to the office if they want to be promoted. Having experienced the advantages of the WFH policy, employees are steadfastly declining to revert to their earlier work methods. Other issues pertain to the recession in the market, jobs drying up, increasing health concerns, and the impact of AI in the workplace. The pre-COVID issues regarding employee engagement, retention, recruiting the right talent, etc., are still persistent.
