I would also like to add an important point to the one rightly mentioned by our friend Alphonse. It is not that companies do not hire HR people at all, but let us also understand that the number of people working in the HR department (especially in core HR) of any company is far too less compared to the marketing and other departments.

I agree with both of you, but I would like to add that most HR fresher requirements are fulfilled through references. As a consultant, out of 10 requirements, 7 to 8 are usually fulfilled by reference. That's why it is difficult to find an opportunity in HR.

I agree with our friends Alphonse & Dwijendra, but I think that HR opportunities are really increasing now. Companies are understanding the importance of HR in the modern world. According to me, the main reason for this is that the majority of big organizations are going global. When going global comes into the picture, all organizations will consider HR to be very strong. I think HR freshers have a bright future ahead.

Yeah, I want to add one more point to the above points. HR managers or executives hold very sensitive positions in companies, through which companies may lose or gain. Hence, companies may offer fewer opportunities. They don't hire a candidate unless they know the candidate and have a reference.

Dear Cynthia Clement & Friends,
Your question was: Why don't HR people get jobs easily? Why do companies not recruit HR professionals frequently?
The reasons behind this are:
1. The position of HR is very crucial and critical. Freshers often lack practical HR work knowledge. Therefore, most companies prefer experienced individuals as it saves time, resources, and money.
2. Some mid-size and small companies treat HR personnel as liabilities rather than assets. As a result, they do not prefer having more than 1-2 HR professionals.
3. With the changing times, new technologies are continuously being adopted by organizations. This automation is replacing manual manpower in many HR functions.
4. Fresh graduates often lack the required knowledge and understanding for the corporate world. Their expectations are high, but their practical skills may not match up, making it challenging for them to fit into HR positions effectively.
5. The role of HR is to create policies that balance organizational goals with individual expectations. Even a slight imbalance can have significant effects on the entire organization.
I hope the points above provide some clarity.
