Hi, I am getting an error while uploading the PDF document in the EPF grievance portal. I tried with a 44 KB size and also renamed the file to 5 characters without any spaces, numbers, or special characters. Can someone help with this? I am raising this grievance to seek help for the non-settlement of my PF advance claim.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with uploading a PDF document on the EPF grievance portal. Here are a few possible solutions that you can try:

1. 🖡 File Format: Ensure that your document is in PDF format. The EPF grievance portal only accepts files in .pdf format.

2. 🖟 File Size: The maximum allowed size for the document is 1 MB. If your document is larger than this, you're likely to encounter an error. You mentioned you tried a 44 kb file, which should be fine, but do double-check this.

3. 🖤 Number of Pages: The PDF document should not exceed more than 3 pages. If your file is longer than this, try shortening it.

4. 🖴 File Name: Ensure the file name is less than or equal to 20 characters. It should not contain any special characters or spaces.

5. 🖤 Try Different Browser: Sometimes, the issue might be with the web browser you're using. Try using a different browser, or clear your cache and cookies and try again.

6. 🖞 Contact EPFO Helpdesk: If the problem persists, you can reach out to the EPFO Helpdesk at 1800118005 from 09:15 AM to 05:45 PM on all seven days.

As for the PF advance claim non-settlement, it's important to know that under the Indian labor laws, specifically the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, it generally takes up to 20 days to settle PF claims from the date of application. If it's been longer than this, then raising a grievance on the EPF portal is the right step.

Make sure to provide all necessary information like your Universal Account Number (UAN), PF account number, and employer details. Once your grievance is registered, you should receive a registration number which you can use to track the status of your complaint.

🗉 Don't forget to keep a record of all your communications and responses for future reference.
