Hi, when you are sure that you will not be able to return to work for a longer period, you could have submitted your resignation at the beginning or applied for a break in service in writing and obtained approval. Now that they have issued a warning letter to you (even after your repeated replies), it shows that your employer is no longer willing to extend your unpaid leave.
