Hello, we are starting a new onboarding and induction program in our organization and have decided to conduct functional induction for DGM and above grades. Functional heads from all departments (HR, Finance, Legal, SCM, etc.) will present about their functions.

I need assistance with the points that functional heads can cover in their presentation. Some ideas include:

1. Self-introduction
2. Team Hierarchy
3. Description of their function
4. How their function can benefit new employees or how new employees can approach them

I am looking for additional points to include in the presentation topics for the functional heads to prepare.

Hi,

You can add a few more points such as:

- History and growth of the company.
- Process flow followed in the company.
- Contribution of each department towards the company's growth.
- Challenges faced by departments and any solutions identified by them.

Dear Jitesh,

The additional points for the functional head(s) are as follows:

a) How does their function contribute to customer satisfaction?
b) How does their function contribute to the business?
c) What parameters do they use to measure the performance of their department? Which is the primary ratio or cost?
d) What is the quality journey of their department? "Quality journey" refers to the milestones achieved by the department in improving their quality.

Additional suggestion: The functional head can give a one-time presentation. A video recording of it can be made so that they do not have to come personally every time to present the same information.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
