A deputation order was issued to my daughter, who is the SBI branch manager. No reason was given. When asked, no reply has been received so far. She is still continuing as the manager.
Is it right to ask for the reason?
Is refusal to join liable for disciplinary action? Please advise.

Understanding Transfer on Deputation at SBI
SBI is a very large organization; therefore, it will have its service rules. Please find out what the rules are for transfer on deputation.
When the administration decides to transfer an employee, they are not obligated to explain the reasons for their decision. If the due date by which the employee is expected to join at the place of deputation has passed, the employee could be served with a show-cause notice for defiance of the transfer order. Nevertheless, she can join the place of deputation belatedly.
