Navigating Employment History: Transitioning from Company X to Company Y - CiteHR

No Tags Found!

Hello all, I have a query regarding my work experience. I worked for companies X and Y during the period 2014-2016, and these were my first companies. As both companies were startups, they paid salaries in cash. Therefore, there were no UAN or PF accounts, even though the salaries were low.

In 2017, I began working at an MNC called 'Z' after leaving both X and Y. When I joined company 'Z,' I only included company X on my resume. In the future, can I list company Y instead of X, considering X is no longer active?

Thank you.

Integrity and Employment History

It is a huge risk to have maintained no connection with company Y for nearly 4 years and now to come up with another story of having worked in company Y simultaneously. This situation raises questions about your individual integrity and reliability as an honest employee. Simply stating that X is presently inactive cannot be a satisfactory explanation for switching to a new employment story. If this change does not provide you with any long-term advantage, it is better to resist the temptation.
