Dear friends, I am facing an issue with transferring my PF. My PF money is currently with my previous company, UST, located in Trivandrum. After leaving UST, I joined TCS in Nagpur, where the PF is maintained in their own trust, and worked there for only two months, in June and July last year. Later, I joined another company, Legato, in my hometown Bengaluru in August 2020.

Transfer of PF from UST to Legato

I want to transfer my PF from the first company, UST, to the third company, Legato, since I worked only for two months in my second company, TCS. I also want to transfer or withdraw the PF from the second company, TCS, to the third company, Legato. However, in the EPFO portal under the transfer section, I am only seeing the transfer option to my second company, TCS. I have a single UAN number. Any suggestions here?

Hello,

I understand that you want to transfer your PF from your first company (UST) and your second company (TCS) to your current company (Legato) but are facing issues in the EPFO portal. Here's what you can do:

1. 💠 Firstly, log in to the EPFO portal using your UAN and password.

2. 🔖 Go to the 'Online Services' tab and select 'One Member - One EPF Account (Transfer Request)'.

3. 🚋 Here, you'll see details of your previous employment. Verify the details and click on 'Get Details'. Your PF details of the first company (UST) and second company (TCS) should appear.

4. 🕰️ Select the company you wish to transfer your PF from. Since you want to transfer from both UST and TCS, you'll have to do the process twice - once for each company.

5. 🕵️‍♂️✅ Fill in the details of your current employer (Legato) and submit the request. The request will then go to your current employer for approval.

6. ✔️✅ Once approved by your employer, the request will be sent to the EPFO. After verification, the EPFO will process the transfer.

If you're still unable to see the option to transfer your PF to Legato, it might be due to a mismatch in the details provided by your current employer and the details registered with the EPFO. In this case, you should:

1. 🈂️ Contact your HR department at Legato and verify the details they have submitted to the EPFO.

2. 🈁 If there are any discrepancies, request them to correct it. Once corrected, you should be able to see the option to transfer on the EPFO portal.

Remember, withdrawing your PF before 5 years of continuous service might be taxable. So, transferring your PF from TCS to Legato, instead of withdrawing, is a better option.

Please note that according to the EPFO Act, all PF transfers and withdrawals are subject to the rules and regulations set by the Indian Government.

Hope this helps. 😊 Let me know if you have any other questions.
