I received an appointment letter from an MNC 15 days ago and digitally signed it. However, I have now received an offer from another established company that is closer to my current location. What are the legal implications if I choose not to join? I am scheduled to start in July. Please advise me on this matter. Thank you.

Practical Considerations for Job Offers

There are two practical things, please see below:

1. If you have joined the previous company and digitally signed onboarding documents, then you are bound by the appointment letter and have to serve a notice period or pay in lieu of the notice period. This case might have legal ramifications if you don't abide by the contract.

2. If you have not joined anywhere, you may choose from the best offer in regards to factors like working conditions, work-life balance, benefits, salary, job security, etc.
