Hi all,

I have been put into PIP for the next month. If they don't like my work, they told me I have to serve a 2-month notice and leave.

My question is, is it possible to put in my resignation during PIP or while serving the PIP notice?

Is it true that I won't get a job if a potential employer finds out I was fired due to poor performance?

If terminated due to poor performance, will I receive an experience letter and a relieving letter? Yes or no?

Response to Your Queries

Yes, you can submit your resignation during this period. Most employers are aware of the COVID situation, so they understand the circumstances that led to your removal.

Yes, you are entitled to receive both a relieving order and an experience letter.

It seems that the employer is intentionally trying to create a situation for you to resign. If you are inclined to do so, you can negotiate with the management and propose resigning from your position on the condition that you receive a certificate without any mention of poor performance. It is likely that they will agree.
