Dear All,

Can anyone help me with the query below? If the employee is deputed at the client's place in Tamil Nadu and requires ESIC benefits, with his ESIC code registration office located in Bangalore, how can he avail of these benefits? Does he need to submit any forms or documents to the respective hospital? Please suggest.

Thank you.

Hi,

The allocation of an ESIC dispensary is based on the current residence situation of the employee. As you mentioned, the employee is posted in Tamil Nadu. In such a situation, his current local address would be in Tamil Nadu. Therefore, you can allocate him to any ESIC dispensary near his residence. There are no other documents required to avail benefits except the E-pechan card.

I agree with your words, but I still have a doubt. When the associate is claiming the amount in the dispensary, the person is insisting that your IP registration is in Karnataka. Then how come you are claiming here? In this case, from the employer's side, do we have to submit any documents.

Rgds,
Bharat.

Dear Bharat,

The dispensary can be located in another state, but the local office of ESIC must be somewhere near your registered office (in your case, it is Bangalore). An employee can receive treatment outside of the state, but they must submit their claim only at the local office along with the ESIC dispensary treatment records.
