One of the reputed India MNC IT companies has given me an offer letter but is now delaying my joining, stating that the background verification is not completed. It's a delay from their side, but I have to undergo a lot of stress as I do not have any other offer in hand, and I am relieved from my previous organization.
Please suggest what remedy I can follow or if I can take legal action.

As they informed you that BGV is under process, you can wait for some time. Big companies usually assign the BGV process to a vendor company, and there might be more internal approval processes that could have delayed your Date of Joining (DOJ) with them. Thinking of legal remedies before entering the organization itself is not advisable.

Thank you for the reply. I understand that thinking of legal remedy is not a good option. However, despite sending repeated emails, I have not received a single acknowledgement, which is very unprofessional. The company can conduct the Background Verification (BGV) concurrently. What is the last recourse I have in this situation? Any thoughts or suggestions will be highly appreciated.
