Dear All, Is it necessary to give comp. off to employee working on week off and company is paying Over time for working on week off.

Not sure whether your company under purview of Shops and Establishment Act or Factories Act or other. whatever let it be, as per the provision of the Act one day weekly off is compulsory. since the employer make the employee work for all seven days comp off is given by the employer and over time or holiday allowance is a benefit given by the employer to employee for his work effort beyond his duty hours.
